Placitas Resilience and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) recommends that Placitas residents sign up for the Sandoval County Alert program to get a notification if an evacuation notice (or less urgent notices) are issued. The instructions use texting and smart phones. Text to 888777 with the message SANDOVALNM. That will open a page on your phone to allow you to sign up.
